This 140 square meter loft in Milan, Italy, was designed by Studiopepe as a vacation retreat for a couple who are both creative professionals. Studiopepe designed a compact and flowing art environment for the couple to relax and be inspired. The design is inspired by their writing, gaming, and fantasy worlds. The loft is divided into three zones: a creative area, a relaxation zone, and a bedroom. The creative area is a multi-functional space where the couple can write, game, and paint.
Studiopepe, an Italian design studio, has designed a 140-square-meter loft apartment in Milan, Italy for a couple who are both creative professionals. The loft serves as a vacation retreat for the couple who are a New York Times best-selling author and a game designer. This is not their primary residence, but a space they can use to write, paint, and design games, escape the daily grind, and find solace in between extensive reading and traveling. 
The design focuses on creating a compact but flowing art environment that allows the couple to focus on their creative production and relax. The design draws inspiration from their writing, gaming, and fantasy world backgrounds. The space is divided into a central creative area, with a 3D entertainment zone on one side and a silent writing zone on the other, and a relaxation room with an inlaid carpet that flows onto custom-made woodwork and is decorated with bold graphic murals. 
The design was developed based on the concept of transition and fluid relationships between graphic elements and space, with murals and floor finishes extending the concept of 2D/3D manipulation. Since the couple moved in, they have also enjoyed using the space to gather inspiration and write.
