The Burrow Boxing Club, the first commercial boxing gym in the area, introduces a modern take on boxing training to Kuwait.

by 24designclub

The Burrow Boxing Club, the first commercial boxing gym in Kuwait, offers a modern take on boxing training. The gym, which features a welcoming lobby, semi-private gym, boxing ring, and elevated cross-fit area, emphasizes natural flow of movement and unexpected elements. The gym’s design is a contrast between the narrow hallways and the spacious gym area, which is centered around an elevated boxing ring. The boxing ring is highlighted by nine pendant lights, making it a key feature of the facility. The gym area is designed to accommodate a variety of activities, with a mezzanine level that provides additional workout space and a balcony offering a clear view of the boxing ring.

The materials used in the gym are inspired by vintage boxing gyms, which are typically straightforward and lack extensive decoration. The materials used include concrete blocks, subway tiles, steel, and natural wood. To ensure a bright atmosphere, which is often different from the evening ambience, a skylight has been introduced on the north wall to allow natural light to permeate the space. Curved glass corners have been used in the corridors to ensure a clear line of sight between the entrance, lockers, and main gym area.
The gym’s design provides a unique and functional space for boxing training, combining modern design elements with the traditional feel of vintage boxing gyms. The Burrow Boxing Club offers a modern take on boxing training, providing a unique and welcoming space for members to train and socialize.
