Modern Apartment Design in Moscow: A Unified Home for a Large Family/FORM / Moscow, Russia

FORM merged three Moscow apartments into a single, peaceful, and extended family home.

by 24designclub

This modern apartment design in Moscow is a testament to how form follows function. FORM transformed three apartments into a unified home, creating a serene and extended family dwelling. The apartment boasts a calm and soothing palette of light sea blue paired with oak, accented by bronze, brass, natural stone, and wool textiles. The long hallway separates the private spaces from the public ones, while the open floor plan creates a functional family layout. The office space, framed by glass panels, provides a vibrant contrast to the serene atmosphere.

FORM merged three Moscow apartments into a unified home for a large family, aiming to create a calm, extended family dwelling. Throughout the apartment, a rather subdued tone has been set to reflect the serenity and soothing atmosphere. The light sea blue tone paired with oak dominates, with details in bronze, brass, natural stone, and wool textiles. The long hallway separates private spaces from public ones, while the open floor plan layout is common these days, favoring the creation of a functional family layout. Outside the hallway, an office is enclosed by framed glass panels, a bright contrast to the otherwise tranquil setting. Bedrooms are simple, with scaled decor, built-in shelves and storage cabinets. As the family is big with many family members, the bedrooms are naturally the most numerous functional zone.
