Wang Changxing, born in 1987, is the founder of Nong Studio. His early exposure to art came from his father, a renowned Chinese painting artist in Shanghai. After graduating from Tongji University with a degree in architecture and urban planning, he pursued further studies at Politecnico di Milano in Italy and Parsons School of Design in New York, earning a doctorate. These experiences, combined with extensive travels across six continents and over 50 countries, shaped his unique design perspective. Nong Studio, founded in 2016, is based in Shanghai with branches in Milan and New York. The studio’s name, “Nong,” is a playful reference to the traditional alleyways found in Shanghai, reflecting a connection to the city’s architectural heritage. Nong Studio specializes in high-end commercial spaces, residential spaces, soft furnishings, and visual communication design.
