LilyNails Beauty Salon / Jianzhuying / Beijing, China

A unique nail salon design that embodies the beauty of nature.

by 24designclub

LilyNails Beauty Salon in Beijing’s Fenglian Plaza is a unique nail salon design by Jianzhuying that brings the beauty of nature to life. The salon features a striking “mountain” constructed from 1.5mm thick brushed stainless steel plates, creating a series of “caves” that offer various beauty and nail services. The “mountain” rises gradually from the outer perimeter of the 60-square-meter rectangular space to the center, creating a playful and dynamic experience for customers.

The “caves” vary in size and are strategically positioned to create different levels of privacy for the different services offered. For example, the nail area is divided into groups of two or three seats, while the beauty rooms offer a more secluded experience. The spaces between the “caves” are used for storage, service rooms, and display shelves. The “mountain” is complemented by a soft, gray carpet floor, creating a soft-hard contrast that reinforces the grayscale tones of the cave spaces. The top of the mountain is painted white, seamlessly blending with the surrounding walls and the bright ceiling. The ceiling is covered in a soft membrane that features a pattern of different densities of flowers, creating a soft and diffused light that adds a dynamic touch to the space. From the outside, the salon’s transparent glass walls offer a clear view of the unique interior design, while the abstract “mountain” becomes a stage for showcasing the beauty of nature.

The design team, led by Han Wenqiang and Song Huizhong, sought to create an artificial sense of nature, attracting customers with a fun experience similar to that of encountering a mountain. This design solution is a testament to the creative use of materials and the masterful play of light and space, creating a unique and inspiring space for beauty and relaxation.
