The Lytton Park Residence in Canada draws inspiration from the inherent charm of its existing structure. By seamlessly merging modern design sensibilities with a familiar warmth, the residence is revitalized, breathing new life into a timeless aesthetic. Collab Design Studio’s interior designer Justine Golden sought to ensure that key elements of the original structure were woven into the home’s new interpretation. In essence, the project was built upon a clean canvas while retaining the home’s inherent flow, aiming to respect the harmonious feel it possessed. This approach ensured a respectful renovation that built upon the original structure rather than drastically altering it, allowing the residence to retain a sense of character and history.

The dining table tops are designed to be removable, and the entire room can transition into a lounge for cocktails and a more relaxed social environment. The design of this area effectively demonstrates the project’s emphasis on multifunctionality and adaptability, further enhancing the home’s ability to cater to a variety of gatherings and moods. This demonstrates the design’s success in blending form and function, aesthetics and utility, for a truly livable and enjoyable space.
