Design Concept & Water-Inspired Aesthetics:

Inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s profound words about water, Mu Qing Chuan emphasizes the subtle yet powerful influence of water in shaping a beautiful living environment. The project’s design incorporates extensive water features, meticulously woven into the architecture and landscape, creating a sense of tranquility and serenity. The layout is thoughtfully conceived with a south-low and north-high elevation, promoting optimal natural light and ventilation. Generous building setbacks and lush gardens further enhance the picturesque surroundings, contributing to the residential community’s overall beauty. GLA, the architectural design firm, implemented a modern design approach that creates expansive and open-feeling spaces. The use of narrow-frame windows and large-scale flow lines enhances the building’s visual openness. Warm materials, such as wood-grain aluminum panels and beige-yellow marble, complete the buildings’ elegant exterior, offering residents a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

Community Amenities: Fostering a Connected Lifestyle

The community offers a diverse range of amenities to cater to the needs of residents of all ages. It features a series of ‘floating clubhouses’ that are interconnected via a 300-meter covered walkway. The walkway, inspired by traditional Chinese gardens, incorporates a step-by-step scenic design, harmoniously blending architecture, landscape, and courtyards. This allows residents to freely move between different parts of the community, regardless of the weather conditions. The central water feature, ‘Water and Sky Bathing,’ covers approximately 900 square meters, creating an impression of tranquility and vastness. The ‘Heart Island’ meditation pavilion offers a quiet refuge for reflection, allowing residents to find a moment of peace amidst the hustle and bustle of city life. Additionally, the community has a library, yoga room, co-working space, children’s play area, and a fitness center. These thoughtful spaces come together to create a well-rounded and comfortable community for residents to enjoy.

Architectural and Interior Design: Seamlessly Integrating Style and Functionality

Mu Qing Chuan extends the concept of living beyond the confines of individual apartments by carefully crafting thoughtfully designed communal spaces. The sales space is designed with a contemporary, cutting-edge language to create an ambience of luxurious style. The reception area, named ‘Encounter and Bathing,’ adopts a luxurious hotel aesthetic. The grey stone, mosaic floor, and curved installations create a visually appealing environment. The color palette of butterfly green, Hugo stone, leather, and antique bronze establishes a sophisticated and welcoming aesthetic. The ‘Hall Bathing M·Lounge’ is a space where residents can relax, socialize, and interact. The outdoor water feature views offer visual relief from the urban environment. The ‘沐聊 M. TALK SALON’ social bar, with its unique circular design, creates a casual and social hub for residents, fostering a strong sense of community. The ‘Book House M. LIBRARY,’ inspired by the Alila Wuzhen waterside library, is a space where residents can enjoy the serenity of the lake and the joy of reading. The design creates a sense of wonder, with the building seemingly floating on the water. The ‘Tea Bathing M. TEA ROOM’ is a space where residents can enjoy a calming tea ceremony surrounded by the natural beauty of the surrounding garden. The arch-shaped ceiling and herringbone wooden flooring add a classic touch to the space.

Residential Unit Design and Styles: A Celebration of Diversity

Mu Qing Chuan’s residential spaces are meticulously designed to fulfill the needs and preferences of diverse homeowner tastes. The design incorporates high-end finishes, such as natural marble flooring, mosaic entrance tiles, and extensive wall coverings. The entrance halls showcase the elegant Haipai (Shanghai) style, integrating a blend of western classical and Eastern traditional aesthetics. The project also offers three different interior design styles for residents to choose from. The Haipai style emphasizes a sense of sophistication with its use of western classical aesthetics, rich textures, and colors. The new Haipai style boasts a simplified aesthetic, with clean lines and modern materials accented with bright colors. The Light French style embraces a soft, sophisticated aesthetic through the use of artistic and elegant lines and muted color palettes. The Art Deco style exudes a vintage and luxurious ambiance with a blend of antique furniture, modern art installations, and intricate design details. Each design style aims to create a unique and comfortable home environment for residents, embodying their personal preferences and lifestyle.
