This renovated 70s apartment in Tel Aviv is a shining example of how to maximize space and light in a small apartment. The apartment was redesigned by Gidon Levin, dividing the apartment into multiple open and bright spaces, transforming the originally narrow space. With clever use of mirrors and glass, the apartment feels spacious and airy.
This renovated 70s apartment in Tel Aviv is a shining example of how to maximize space and light in a small apartment. The apartment was redesigned by Gidon Levin, dividing the apartment into multiple open and bright spaces, transforming the originally narrow space. The living room features floor-to-ceiling windows that allow ample natural light to flood the space. The design incorporates various shades of gray to emphasize the black elements and create a sense of depth. A large mirror placed opposite the windows reflects the incoming light, further brightening the living room. The focal point of the living room is a custom-made wooden shelf, with a black steel-framed glass door leading to a quiet study space behind it.
The new dining area is positioned at the edge of the space near the windows, offering stunning views of the nearby park. Bright concrete-colored tiles visually separate the dining area from the living room. The kitchen cabinetry features a black finish with metallic accents, and walnut wood serves as a warm counterpoint to the expansive black surfaces.
The glass door separating the living room and study space blocks out distractions while allowing natural light to flow through. The partition between the master bedroom and bathroom is also made of steel-framed glass, using common materials from the 1970s.
