The internationally renowned resort brand AZULIK has announced its new project in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico, confirming the expansion of its creative and architectural forms. “Sculptural Residences” is its first residential complex. AZULIK describes the project as “a new proposal about lifestyle and luxury, sustainable.” The residential project is led by RothArchitecture, continuing the distinctive aesthetic of “nature as the protagonist and the user as a priority.” The AzulikUh May art center was the first architectural project to embody the concepts and intentions of both RothArchitecture and AZULIK. The complex aims to reinterpret traditional design and construction methods that have been applied to contemporary urban architecture. This project provides a living experience unlike any other, immersing people in nature. The most important feature of the project is that, for the first time, people can experience AZULIK as residents. This Tulum residence expresses human sensibility through the knowledge, nature, and art of local ancestral traditions and promotes reconnection with oneself and the surrounding environment. The spaces in Roth Residences are free and flexible. They subtly use light, interior and exterior spaces, and the jungle landscape to meet the needs of each user. The entire building is delicately designed, allowing each residence to have jungle views through windows and integrate seamlessly into the circular space and dynamic architectural environment. The windows of the residences embody their openness and bring in natural light. Artificial lighting design is also incorporated into the architecture to emphasize the shape of the structure and create a warm and beautiful environment. The unique aesthetic is reflected in the complete set of creeper ceiling lights, elegant concrete elements, natural textiles and details, making the whole combination a vibrant home. The AZULIK Residences building project includes 1.5 hectares of land, 4 towers, and a total of 88 apartments. There are also health facilities, including a jungle gym and yoga room; a series of artworks curated by SFER IK Museion; social facilities, including a restaurant; a bar; a swimming pool; a boutique; and a fireplace. Each building offers ten types of apartments, with sizes ranging from 90 square meters to 300 square meters. All units have their own terraces, and some come with roof decks, fireplaces, and diving platforms. RothDesign provides interior design services, including custom furniture and matching decorations and artwork. AZULIK’s creative experts have crafted the brand’s iconic style while offering the most comfortable experience for everyone with a slow living philosophy.
