Project Background and Inspiration

The RAVA Metal Xiamen Flagship Store project was born during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic in Quanzhou, China. During the period of isolation and reflection, HE-DESIGN founder Zhang Pengfeng contemplated the evolution of commercial models and spaces. He believed that brand spaces should not merely showcase materials and products, but also emphasize craftsmanship and detailing. The core of this project was to seamlessly integrate the brand’s operational thinking and development strategy into the spatial design, ensuring the design concept truly reflected RAVA’s essence, turning the space into a powerful platform for building and experiencing the brand’s value. This emphasis on brand storytelling and functionality is a key element of stainless steel interior design trends.

Design Concept and Objectives

The design approach adopted a minimalist aesthetic, strategically incorporating three double-height spaces within the layout. HE-DESIGN reinterpreted indoor scenes with architectural language, resulting in a layered and dynamic spatial experience within the stainless steel interior design of the store. The design began with an existing structural column, retaining the original architectural features and charm. The staircase was strategically positioned at the heart of the space, creating a focal point that emphasized both spatial tension and openness.
